July 24, 2002... Shoshone Silver Mining Co., Coeur d'Alene, Idaho, (SHSH), has lease optioned 2,715 acres of diamond bearing placer gravels in Central Canada. Testing of these placer gravels at this time has produced small industrial diamonds, rubys, spinels, zircons, corcundom and garnets. The initial tests that are in progress at this time look promising.

At least two kimberlite pipes have been discovered and will be tested this year. We expect to release more information on the quality and quantity of the gem stones within the next 30 days. This will be a major diamond discovery in the Province of Manitoba.

Further information will be made available as soon as we can complete some of the tests.
