Voisey Bay Junior Nickel Mining Companies

The Voisey Bay area of the Province of Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada hosts one of the largest nickel deposits in the world. The initial discovery in 1995 started a bidding war with a final price tag in the area of $3.2 Billion, making it as some claim, the most expensive piece of real estate on the planet.

The Voisey Bay nickel discovery was funded by the small exploration company Diamond Field Resources ( their stock price exploded from 20 cents to over $164 ), and many similar exploration companies are active, and expanding in the Labrador area. With all the roads, trails, surveys, sites, helipads, airstrips and other resources that are presently being developed in the region, it will be very interesting, and hopefully profitable, to monitor the smaller companies as they explore their claims.
